During the early months of 1991, the ownership group of the new Guelph OHL team started a ‘Name the Team’ contest to find the name of the club. The contest which was sponsored by CJOY, garnered 686 submissions. If there is a multiplier beside the submission, it was a name that was submitted multiple times.
