This is a post that I was hoping not to have to make but unfortunately due to a mixture of things, primarily the Ontario restrictions over the last few months and my own schedule, I’m going to have to put the OHL Historical Boxscore Project on a temporary hiatus. This hiatus should only last a few months. It’s just to give me some time to catch up and collect some more boxscores for future posts. I haven’t been able to get to do many library visits and there are only a few newspapers that I can access online (hence why many of my posts were of either Ottawa or Windsor since I can access them without having to go to those cities).
Even though the project is on hiatus, I am still doing a lot of work for the future. I’m currently in the process of compiling roughly 35 years worth of schedules of each team (1960-1997) so it will be easier to keep track of games, and of course I will try and get several library visits in a few different cities to retrieve some more scores once they reopen during Phase 3.
Finally, if anybody happens to have any boxscores whether it’s in an old scrapbook or an old newspaper lying around the house or something, please reach out. Every score counts and would certainly go a long way in helping with the project. I can be reached by either a DM on Twitter, or at my email (ohlhistory20@gmail.com).
Thanks for your patience. Enjoy your summer!
